When weekly school-based support is not enough, virtual IOP and outpatient programs can add structure without removing a student from their campus community.
With a release of information, we coordinate around attendance plans and campus re-entry goals.
A non-PHI summary of concerns is enough for the first call — formal releases come later if families enroll.
Students stay enrolled on their own campus while attending structured sessions from home.
Families start with a free clinical conversation — you introduce the option, we handle the rest.
School counselors, psychologists, and wellness teams often see rising absences, declining grades, anxiety at school entry, or safety concerns before families find specialty care. Mental Health For Teens accepts professional referrals for California students ages 12–17 who may need virtual intensive outpatient or outpatient mental health treatment.
Referrals start with a free clinical consultation. We clarify level of care, insurance next steps, and whether virtual care is clinically appropriate. We do not provide emergency or campus crisis response — use 911 or 988 when safety is immediate, then refer for non-emergency specialty care when the student is stable enough for outpatient intensity.
We need a parent or legal guardian to complete the clinical consultation and enrollment steps. Schools can introduce the option and help connect caregivers.
Treatment is virtual. With appropriate releases, we can coordinate with school teams around attendance plans and re-entry goals.
No. Immediate danger requires 911 or 988. Refer to us for structured outpatient or IOP-level care when the student is safe enough for virtual programming.
